Wireless Printer Setup Guidance

🧩 Step 1: Unbox and Prepare the Printer

  1. Remove all packaging and protective materials.
  2. Plug in your printer and turn it ON.
  3. Install the ink cartridges and load paper in the tray.
  4. Wait until the printer finishes its initialization process.

🌐 Step 2: Connect Printer to Wi-Fi Network

🔹 Option A: Using Printer’s Control Panel (Recommended)

  1. On your printer screen, open Network / Wireless Settings.
  2. Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
  3. Choose your Wi-Fi network name (SSID).
  4. Enter your Wi-Fi password and confirm.
  5. Wait for the printer to connect — you’ll see a confirmation message or solid blue light.

💡 Tip: Make sure your printer and your laptop/desktop are on the same Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz preferred).


🔹 Option B: Using WPS (If Your Router Supports It)

  1. Press the WPS button on your Wi-Fi router.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press and hold the Wireless or WPS button on your printer.
  3. The printer will connect automatically.

💻 Step 3: Install Printer Software on Your Computer

🪟 Windows

  1. Go to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners → Add Device.
  2. Windows will search and find your wireless printer.
  3. Select it → click Add Device.
  4. Or, download your brand’s setup tool:

🍎 Mac

  1. Go to System Settings → Printers & Scanners → Add Printer.
  2. Choose your printer from the list.
  3. Click Add to complete setup.

📱 Step 4: Add Printer to Mobile (Optional)

For Android / iPhone

  • Install the official app for your printer brand:
    • HP Smart / Canon PRINT / Epson iPrint / Brother iPrint&Scan
  • Open the app → tap Add Printer → follow on-screen instructions to connect via Wi-Fi.

🧾 Step 5: Test Your Printer

  1. Open a test document.
  2. Click Print → Select your printer name (Wi-Fi).
  3. If it prints successfully, your setup is complete!
